Esse artigo estou escrevendo baseado em algo que foi escrito no \u201cJewishpress\u201d<\/a> (veja link na palavra) e n\u00e3o pude ainda ver mais detalhadamente, por\u00e9m a lei foi aprovada (veja o link no par\u00e1grafo abaixo).<\/p>\n

Como a Proposta de Emenda \u00e0 Lei foi aprovada eu acredito que em breve os novos imigrantes ser\u00e3o presenteados com um novo passaporte Israelense j\u00e1 na chegada a Israel.<\/a><\/p>\n

Essa nova emenda n\u00e3o vai mudar a lei no que diz respeito a esse artigo, (o link est\u00e1 no pr\u00f3prio par\u00e1grafo) n\u00e3o por enquanto, mas \u00e9 quest\u00e3o de tempo e ter\u00e3o que mudar essa lei tamb\u00e9m<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Lembre-se que se perderem o passaporte ser\u00e3o bem questionados e se acontecer pela segunda vez n\u00e3o v\u00e3o receber o terceiro passaporte \u2013 n\u00e3o sem passar pelo servi\u00e7o secreto e se receberem n\u00e3o vai ser imediatamente.<\/p>\n

Knesset Permits Olim to Obtain Israeli Passports Upon Arrival<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Knesset plenum on Monday gave final approval to an amendment to the Passports Law (1952) that will enable new immigrants to obtain Israeli passports immediately upon arrival, even if they don\u2019t live in Israel full-time<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Previously, an immigrant had to wait a year before being issued an Israeli passport, and only on condition that Israel is the new immigrant\u2019s primary place of residence. During that, time immigrants were entitled to a temporary travel document.<\/p>\n

Under the new legislation, the Interior Minister will not be able to reject the request for a first passport submitted by an Oleh who was granted Israeli citizenship by virtue of the Law of Return on the grounds that the Oleh has yet to settle in Israel.<\/p>\n

The final law was passed with 26 yeas and no objections or abstention.<\/p>\n

The preamble of the bill, which was submitted by MKs Oded Forer and Yulia Malinovsky of Yisrael Beiteinu, says the change would ease foreign travel during the first year for new immigrants with families that live abroad.<\/p>\n

During a recent meeting in which the Internal Affairs Committee approved the bill for a final plenary vote, MK Forer said that, after a while, some immigrants give up trying to obtain an Israeli citizenship \u2013 because they do not receive an Israeli passport. \u201cThey say, \u2018So I\u2019m not Israeli. I\u2019ll stay in France,\u2019 or in any other country. From now on, any person who makes Aliyah to Israel is just like any other citizen who applies for a passport.\u201d<\/p>\n

Eli Levy of the Population and Immigration Authority said that currently, after a new immigrant applies for a passport, the state checks to see how he\/she has settled in the country. \u201cOur concern about the amendment stems from the fact that the purpose of the Law of Return is to have the immigrant settle in Israel, not get his\/her citizenship and then travel around the world with an Israeli passport,\u201d Levy explained.<\/p>\n

In addition, Levy said, \u201cin the 1990s, European countries informed us about Israeli citizens with Israeli passports who were engaged in criminal activity, which affects our visa agreements with those countries.\u201d<\/p>\n

The head of the Foreign Ministry\u2019s consular services unit, Eyal Siso, noted that currently some 500 Israeli citizens are being held in prisons outside the country \u2013 and most of them are not new immigrants.<\/p>\n
