It’s as bad in Israel as in America . Taking out $10,000 is a big issue here . I heard someone has to spends thousands to defend himself despite asking the bank for permission to take it out . I was going around like a chicken without a head from this office to that office and then I remembered about Voleh. I called years ago about a phone company that was framing me that I owed them money and that they were suing me. Tzvi called them up and took care of it on the spot! Words cannot express how relieved and grateful we are. This has been such a huge burden on us for over a year. We finally feel like we can move on. We were so surprised by the favorable verdict. I was fully expecting that I would need to do community service hours. And to tell you the truth, I had no idea how I would fit that into our lives.
Thank God that the prosecution and the judge (and other forces that be) understood that we are just simple people trying to raise our family. We made a mistake but we shouldn't have to be penalized to the point that it affects our ability to raise our family. We are good and honest people that work hard for what little we do have. We love each other very much and all we want is to live our lives together with our family. Josh and I have been together for more than half our lives and we have been through a lot together. We will add this court case to our list of hurdles that we overcame.

We purchased an apartment and the renter decided to give us a hard
time about paying the rent. Tzvi helped us to understand what our

I had a problem with a recent subscription to a professional listing
in the online marketing directory of my phone company. I had consented
during an unsolicited high pressured marketing phone call from them.
Soon after the call I reconsidered and vainly tried to get them to
cancel it. Their representatives chattered on about a binding one year
contract that was uncalleable. When I started to receive astronomical
phone bills I realized that I had not been given full disclosure of
all the regular monthly billing charges involved with this service,
necessary for an informed consent from me.
Repeated calls to my server requesting cancellation were met with
obstinate refusal. I did not know where to turn to until an AACI
counsellor recommended Voleh. I contacted Tzvi and within a few weeks I received a call from the
server agreeing to cancel the service as a result of the intervention
of a lawyer - a reference to Tzvi.
I feel that Voleh is a valuable service available to new immigrants
who are vulnerable to questionable business practices in Israel.

My son accumulated debts for a phone contract that he thought he closed upon leaving Israel for a year after IDF service and for national health insurance that kept billing him in spite of the fact that he was in the US.To make a long story short ,he returned to Israel to study and upon his visit home between semesters, he was stopped at the airport ,detained and needed to pay the large sum before allowed to leave the country. He was treated as a criminal when in fact he never received any notice of payment due until after his visit home.In order to insure that such treatment won't happen again Zvi directed my son to the right offices to have cases against my son closed.We are so appreciative to Tzvi 's help and so relieved to know that there is someone out there who looks out for Olim and understands that navigating through Israeli non consumer friendly (to be polite) ways is discouraging to say the least.Thank you Tzvi ! I think that your service is desperately needed and so grateful by many as ourselves.

Tzvi knows who I am. I must say, I was caught off-guard at how great his customer service was, seeing as how this is an organization providing a free service. I sent an email asking him to call and he replied in less than 10 minutes asking me to submit a form. Then I said I didn't want any details of my situation in writing and he said I could tell him by phone. He called me shortly thereafter and answered my question clearly and quickly. That was that. You would think he’s being paid top dollar for such great service but this is a completely free service! Toda rabbah!

I would like to thank Tzvi for keeping to his word. I attended a lecture that he gave free of charge of what to look for in a rental contract, which was very informative. He then added that any rental contract we have, he will look over it, again free of charge, but it might take a couple of days. As I have read on other postings, I too am dealing with an unscrupulous landlord who is failing to fulfill her end of the rental agreement. The picayune that I have had to experience has put such a damper on the first five weeks of my Aliyah.
Just have VOLEH to contact made a difference. Once the landlord was contacted by VOLEH, she responded and FINALLY took action and fixed the many problems.
I am relieved that I did not have to start my life in Israel with a law suit, but I was willing to do so not only to protect myself, but to do what I can to ensure that other olim are not taken advantage of. Just goes to show you -wherever you go, there are unscrupulous people. It was a relief to know that VOLEH was here and supportive should I have had to proceed.

I’m an ola chadasha and I had a really bad experience with my old israeli roommate who tried to take advantage of me and the contract we signed, she didn’t paid the entire year of rent and at the end of the contract I was responsible for her debt, I was in crisis and Tzvi helped me right away, he made me feel protected for the first time since I’m in Israel, I wish there were more people like him who cares for real. I can only endorse what has already been written hundreds of times on this site already. My story is not an uncommon one. I was ripped off by a mobile phone company (whose name is that of a certain citrus fruit), when they sold me an internet stick for an exorbitant monthly fee (in addition to mobile phone contract).
After returning from a fundraising trip from Europe (for an Israel based child poverty charity), I was presented with an outrageous bill for using the stick overseas, which I had been assured was within the contract.
After enquiring re. legal services through the usual channels open to oleh (and after receiving little assistance) I was eventually Baruch Hashem, recommended to Zvi and Voleh through the friend of a friend. I can only emphatically endorse the glowing tributes to Tzvi and his organization on this site. He is both a Tzaddik and a Shining exemplar of REAL Jewish Values so sadly often missing in Israel and other societies and am certain that Tzvi will reap what he has sown and receive Numerous Blessings, spiritual and material, from the Creator, in whose image this benevolent exponent of Chesed, has certainly been fashioned.

I would like to nominate VOLEH for the outstanding volunteers award. I am a recent olah chadasha and I wanted to settle a dispute with my
baal habait in small claims court in Jerusalem. They only accept claims in Hebrew and my Hebrew is not proficient at all. I received an appointment as soon as I could come to their offices. I met with VOLEH and they spent about 2 hours helping me file the case. They filled out all the paperwork for me in Hebrew and gave me directions so that all I had to do was drop it off at the small claims court office. It was an amazing service and they didn't charge me one shekel. I have already recommended their services to other olim and strongly support their nomination as an outstanding volunteer.

Expert help with IDF issue - Our deepest thanks to Tsvi for volunteering to help with our son’s complicated problems with the IDF. As olim facing a bewildering and well entrenched system that seemed determined to railroad our son into a dead-end job in the army because of misunderstandings over his education and medical profiles. Tzvi was able to get to the decision makers quickly and get his situation looked at again. While our requests through “channels” and the public complaints office went no where fast, Tsvi’s efforts were able to get action. There are not enough words to thank him or Voleh for taking up our cause – pro bono, and with great professionalism.

I was given Tzvi’s firm’s name at the last second because I needed someone to go over a document in Hebrew with me so I could sign it– Tzvi was amazingly helpful! Despite the fact that he was on vacation, he responded to my email immediately, and within a few hours I was at the office with one of the other attorney’s there willing to help me out. No mess, no fuss, totally professional and helpful. I wold absolutely come here first in the future with any legal issues I would have. Amazing service that is truly a blessing for Olim who are unfamiliar with the way things work around here. Zvi was very helpful in getting us out of a financial mess we found ourselves in. New olim beware: creditors can freeze your bank account, stop you leaving the country and even stop your drivers’ license, all without telling you. All this because you signed for a letter when the postman knocked at the door without knowing what it was. Thankfully Zvi helped us negotiate the highly inflated prices down a little and get this whole nightmare over with. Moral of the story – never sign anything in Hebrew!

As not such an ola chadasha I did not know about VOLEH until a real olah chadasha told me to check out this web site. I wish so much I new about it when I made aliayah. We must equip ourselves with knowledge and this web site provides information that you are not given by anyone when you make alyiah. Amazing Results - Yesterday I had the extreme pleasure of meeting Tzvi as he agreed to help me take on my issues with HOT cable company.
