This is not a lecture. This is not a sermon. It’s a wake-up call.
Israel is again at a crossroads—perhaps the most dangerous one in generations. And no, we haven’t “won” a single war, not in the true sense. We’ve survived them, endured them, often at unbearable cost. But a real victory? That comes only when the enemy surrenders and we shape the terms. We’ve never been allowed that moment. Each time, “friendly” nations and supposed allies impose a premature stop, and we settle for crumbs. And then we wait. We always wait. Hoping the next round won’t come.
But it does !!!
Meanwhile, many of us sink back into the old Israeli disease: indifference. The laid-back “yihye beseder” (it’ll be fine) syndrome. We convince ourselves this horror film is nearing the credits. But it’s not. The enemy hasn’t stopped dreaming of our destruction. He’s just waiting—for us to fall asleep at the watch.
Worse, we are still plagued by one of the most damaging behaviors of all: the Grasshopper Syndrome—a deeply rooted inferiority complex that lingers since biblical times and still haunts Israeli society. Unfortunately, too many among us see ourselves as small, unworthy, incapable of rising to meet our moment. As if we must always ask permission to survive. I urge you to reflect on this through the lens of this short clip: The Grasshopper Syndrome.
This is our moment to break that cycle. Not out of vengeance, but out of clarity. The axis of evil led by Iran must fall. Not for politics—but for survival. For our children. For all free people.
To those who hesitate to enter shelters, who trust in luck or dismiss the danger, I plead with you: wake up. Faith does not absolve us from responsibility. As the Torah says, וְנִשְׁמַרְתֶּם מְאֹד לְנַפְשֹׁתֵיכֶם — “You shall greatly guard your lives” (Deuteronomy 4:15). This is not advice. It is a command.
The enemy has no conscience. He has no red lines. We, the merciful people of Israel, must understand this brutal truth: mercy on the wicked is cruelty to the innocent.
This is a test for all of us. Especially for those who live in Israel.
